What birthday traditions are unique to your culture?

Well, there is nothing different how we celebrate a birthday. We buy a birthday cake and sing a birthday song while sitting around the table. After singing, the birthday celebrant blows off the candles on the cake. These are common customs in the world. We make seaweed soup for the one who has birthday. We cook and prepare special foods for the birthday celebrant and we eat them together. On birthdays, we buy some presents for the birthday celebrant but now we prefer to give some money instead of a present.
